Dana Garmany

Dana Garmany was a four year letterman at Fort Payne High School in golf, a two year letterman in basketball, and a one year letterman in track and cross country. He qualified for the state championship, and finished in the Top 10 in his classification three consecutive years. He won and had high finishes in multiple amateur and professional golf tournaments during his playing career. After his playing career, he turned to the business of golf, winning several awards along the way, including the PGA Teacher of the Year, for the Dixie Section, in 1988. He founded Troon Golf in 1990, which today is the largest golf management company in the world, with over 190 golf courses, located in 29 states and 16 countries.
