Gary Bouldin

A three year letterman in football and four year letterman in basketball and baseball at Crossville High School. First team all-state in all three sports. In football, accumulated and overall record of 26-3 as a starting QB. 15-0 as a junior while leading his team to the state championship. 1st team All-State, 3-A Player of the Year by the Birmingham News and Alabama Sports Writers 1987. In basketball he scored over 1400 points and led his team to the state tournament where they lost by one point to eventual champion. Was selected the Times-Journal Athlete of the Year 1987. Received a scholarship to Memphis State where he was a four-year letterman. Played three different positions while starting one year as QB and two as tight end. Academic achievements include Dean’s List, National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete Award, and second-team Academic All-American award while being one of only two senior athletes to receive a degree in 3-1/2 years.
